For this assignment were given 15 green items and instructed to take every one of them and make an image. We were allowed to change color, size, texture, angles etc. We just couldn't draw in our own images or use pictures other than the 15 green things. I decided to use the green forest as my background and the cat as my main subject. I used a picture of a little boy and one of a car as the purple cat's eyes. I took a picture of hands and used in as the cats nose. I tried to blend all the images in the picture so everything flowed together. I added color to both cats to add interest. I used the arch in two areas of my image, at the top and at the bottom, each looks different. As for the rest of the green things, I hid them around in my picture, try to find all 15!

Music Tie-Dye

For this project we were instructed to take a couple very different items that were given to us, and change them as directed. I tried to make my final image simple yet different. I thought the tie-dye and the slanted colorful strips gave the work a fun side and made the musicians pop. I used the eraser tool to make a design on the strips that I thought resembled the way the tie-dye looked. I left the people their original color, black, to add depth and not overwhelm the eye. The music notes are small but they stand out against the multicolored background. If I were to do this again, I would use the graffiti layer and the others that I left out to make it completely different.
